AtSite's Performax to Drive Energy Reduction and Environmental Sustainability for Existing Buildings
Washington, DC – February 24, 2010 AtSite has launched its Performax Buildings Practice to provide integrated solutions for building owners and large tenants looking to lower energy use, increase performance, and improve sustainability of their existing buildings and spaces.
Recognizing the complex challenges which owners and tenants face with their existing buildings and large interior spaces, AtSite has developed a unique and innovative Practice that couples industry best practices and technology with a diverse team of in-house experts and optimization strategies to provide cost-efficient whole-building energy and environmental sustainability solutions.
In today's world, a high-performing sustainable building is an investment in the bottom line as well as the environment. Across the nation, private and public organizations alike are coming to this conclusion, reaping the financial benefits, increasing employee satisfaction, and gaining an edge over their competitors. Through the new Performax Buildings Practice, AtSite will continue helping a range of organizations lower energy use, reduce operating expenses, increase sustainability, and enhance the value of their buildings.
The Practice deploys an innovative approach that analyzes key performance metrics, and then applies a range of best practices to tailor the highest bang-for-the-buck solution for each building and organization. Whenever possible, low-capital initiatives are targeted to drive return through upgrades in energy efficiency, operations and maintenance procedures, use of building resources, and occupant activities. This low-capital approach has been particularly well received given the current economic environment.
"A solution for existing buildings and large tenant spaces is overdue," said Davor D. Kapelina, AtSite's President and CEO. "Building owners and managers have been struggling to find an approach that addresses energy and sustainability in a cost-efficient, paid-from-savings manner -- and we are delivering exactly that."
Through its Project Management Practice, AtSite has been managing the design, construction of buildings and projects for 17 years, incorporating best-in-class energy and environmental practices into buildings since the late 1990's. The Performax approach is the culmination of efforts which were conceived, tested and perfected at more than sixty buildings encompassing more than seven million square feet of space.
